Compatibility License and page numbers

In the compatibility license, it states we cannot use page numbers: "You may not use page numbers, as they may change in licensed translations and in subsequent printings."

Fire Opal uses page numbers all the time in their adventures, for example, from HM&LC:
.... It holds
a dwarven mug (core book page 295) with a velvet pouch inside
containing five 200 gp rubies.

IMHO, page numbers are useful, and I'd love to use them in Gods and Icons. Pretty please, sugar on top?

  • 13 True Ways uses page number references to the core book all the time. All the Fire Opal books use them. Seems like the argument about foreign language editions is ignored all the time. Can I ignore it as well?
